Take me out to the ballgame!  That's exactly what we're going to do.  Our very own 2011 St. Louis Cardinal World Series Champions will play the Chicago Cubs on Monday, May 14, at 6:05 pm.  Cost will be approximately $30.00 per ticket.  Price includes your ticket, parking (for those who ride the church bus), brats, hot dogs and chips.  This outing is always a favorite and enjoyed by so many.  Currently we have 37 people signed up. Alzheimers-Know the 10 Signs

We had a very good turn out for the baked potato and salad bar night.  Following the meal, Dudley and Eileen's daughter, Mary Ehrenreich who is an outreach coordinator for the Alzheimer's Association shared some very helpful information on "Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia - Know the 10 Signs".  The community was invited to the informational meeting by the Alzheimer's Association and about 14 people came.  Mary has a master's degree in gerontology and it was evident that she knows her stuff!  It was very educational and interesting.  If you know or hear of anyone dealing with Alzheimer's or feel they are in the beginning stages, Mary has educational material and contacts that would be very helpful to them or a caregiver.  Not all memory loss or confusion is necessarily Alzheimer's and it's important to know the difference.
